American rapper Xzibit, familiar to many Russian viewers as the host of Pimp My Ride, delivered a sold-out set in Moscow as part of Street Drive and said performing in Russia felt like a genuine gift. On December 3 he took the stage at VK Stadium with a live band, and on December 4 he treated fans in St. Petersburg.

Izvestia correspondent Aleksandra Mostovaya noted that to make the Moscow show happen, the musician had to adjust his U.S. tour schedule. Right now Xzibit is showcasing tracks from his new album and, by eyewitness accounts, surprising audiences with a refreshed sound.

He said that over the years he has traveled the world and that hip-hop has taken him to places he once never dreamed of visiting. He added that friends have stopped being surprised by his trips, and he called the chance to come to Moscow a special gift.

Fans are buzzing about the energy of his performances, and it seems Xzibit is keen to return sooner rather than later. For now, it’s a matter of waiting for new announcements.
